Match notes
On the paper the two teams where fairly equal. But TV2 with 16 players vs. WC with only 11 (plus an extra apotech and a babe) could quickly have turned nasty for the Cowboys.

But it was a game where almost every turn for TV2 ended with either an early failed dodge, or the last one that could have made the turn succeed. Plus of course both trolls had one of the great karma events, where they don’t know what to do, then they get a second chance… And still they are really stupid!

It was not that WC was lucky, they had their problems, but every time TV2 could have turned the game, they made that mistake that kept WC in the game. Only upset for WC, but it was a serious one, was an early foul by Thomas Edison the 2nd that killed the elf renegade Short-Ears. The ref did throw out the gobo, but as the hired quacksalver wanted to show his worth, he failed miserably. Never leave this sort of job to the new staff! And RIP to Short-Ears.

At this time in the match, WC attack down pitch was stopped, as also the Four-Eyes skaven was KO with the chain saw. The turn where everything worked for TV2 ensued, and lots of dodges later Johannes Kepler Jr. blitzed down Miami Mikkel the 2nd with the ball. But then when he tried to move next to the ball Johannes Kepler Jr. fell. Still the ball stayed on the ground at the side line, and both teams had half of their players close by.

It looked like TV2 would run of with the ball, as agile Tycho Brahe Jr. just needed to pick up in a TZ and then hand-off to Arthur C. Clarke Jr. who could have run out of reach. But of course the pick-up failed. This resulted in a push out KO on Johannes Kepler Jr.. The ball was still on the ground after that turn as well, but again the first dodge by a gobo failed and next turn Baltimore Lars grabbed it and scored for 0-1.

Both bomber and chain saw was send off to join the fouling gobo, and with Sir Isaac Newton Jr. out as well (BH by Tex Longhorn) the KOed Johannes Kepler Jr. needed to come back to keep the ball and chain off pitch. Of course this failed, and the last weapon had to come out for only half of 1st half. He never managed to hit anyone!

This was where the supposedly blitzing Niels Bohr Jr. was really stupid, but he was a pro at being it! That made progress down pitch very hard. It helped a little that the opposing troll Brown Belly had stayed KOed, but towards the end of the half there was a little panic for the gobos. Thus they forgot the marauder left behind on the ground, and he managed to take down Ole Rømer the 2nd along with him self.

And that was enough, as Ole Rømer the 2nd even with his sure hands failed to pick-up the ball, when just a simple hand-off after that to Arthur C. Clarke Jr. would have tied the match.

TV2 then received for 2nd half now both without Stephen Hawking Jr. and his ball and chain and the KOed blodge gobo, and now against also the troll. So 10 vs. 10 while a riot held up the match for the first turn. An early KO by Albert Einstein Jr. promised good, but then he was stupid (almost not again!) when trying to blitz, and the opposing troll moved in to annoy some gobos.

But a cage was formed just on the WC’ side of the pitch. The cage was helped by the three stunned players lying on a line. The minotaur Tex Longhorn had taken himself and troll Niels Bohr Jr. down, stunning both! And then Albert Einstein Jr. had awoken again to take down tackler Jacksonville Pete stunned as well. So the cage was almost done, when Arthur C. Clarke Jr. failed a simple dodge away from the troll Brown Belly. He was SI in the fall!

Still the WC blitz failed to take the ball carrier down, and then Niels Bohr Jr. got up and blitzed down the opposing troll Brown Belly BH and he fails to regenerate. This opens up for TV2 and Richard Feynman Jr. dodges away and runs almost out of reach. Another gobo follows, and then Galileo Galilei Jr. dodges out to make a blitz move very difficult. When the first dodge works, he gets to excited and tries once more… and comes crashing down.

Thus with a simple dodge the marauder manages to blitz down Richard Feynman Jr.. Luckily the ball jumps away from the marauder. Instead the ogre Bigtooth Martin throws gobo Thac0 down pitch, and he manages to land. But he needs to run too fast to get to the ball and falls on it. With that luck, finally the agile Richard Feynman Jr. dodges for the ball and pushes it over the EZ for 1-1!

With less than a half to go, it could be difficult for WC to score, but another riot makes the ref turn the clock back to give them half a half. The ball had else ended up in WC’ own EZ, so there was a long way to move it for the TD.

Miami Mikkel the 2nd runs all he can just to reach it, and stays down there. This could have been a mistake as agile Richard Feynman Jr. comes flying over the other Cowboys. But he fails to land on his feet and cannot reach to blitz him out. Still he manages to run down to stand against the marauder. So Miami Mikkel the 2nd has to blitz to get out, but that then stuns the gobo. However, he cannot get the ball far up field - so two gobos manage to get their TZ on him. And down pitch, one Marauder has been KOed and the skaven Four-Eyes is tacked by two gobos and troll Niels Bohr Jr..

However, that is no problem when you can just dodge out, hand the ball to gobo Thac0 and then let ogre Bigtooth Martin throw him far down pitch, where he lands and runs out of reach next to the side line at the EZ. But suddenly the coach remembers that TV2 can also throw gobos, thus standing on the side line is a little dangerous. Minotaur Tex Longhorn tries to rectify the mistake by blitzing Niels Bohr Jr. down.

But the troll is not stunned, and gets up, picks up Tycho Brahe Jr. and manages to throw this, also very agile, gobo in range for a blitz. But once again TV2s agile gobos cannot land, where WC single normal gobo can every time! That ended the chances to stop the TD and Thac0 then scored the winning TD for 1-2 in the finale minute of the match.

Baltimore Lars received the MVP for his TD and learned his 2nd skill. Sir Isaac Newton Jr. received the MVP for getting only BH and he also learned a skill (wrestle).
