Vikings opted to let the Bunnies receive the ball. Two turns later, Malice in Wonderbra thanked them for the courtesy by scoring a touchdown.
Vikings the received the ball and were allowed to run past the defence with the ball caged only to find Sisse Fisse leaping in from behind and sending the ball-carrier to the ground. The ball then bounced out-of-bounds and was thrown back in in the direction of the Viking end-zone. With no defenders left on that part of the field, the opportunistic Billie Luder could pick up the ball and walk it into the end-zone unhindered. 2-0.
The Bunnies then tried to stall the Viking offence and were successful to the point that Thor "Strækarm"Gromson had to make some very risky dodges to score before time expired for the first half. He passed with flying colours, however, making the score 2-1.
In the beginning of the second half the Bunnies were so heavily decimated, that the Vikings could easily make the equalizer. And by the time the Bunnies received the ball, their limited player material had to be sent down the field in a deperate effort. But despite their being heavily overwhelmed, Malice in Wonderbra and Jette Stue used their nerves of steel to pass the ball back and forth to each other, before Jette Stue managed to outrun the entire Viking defence for the touchdown. 3-2 for the Bunnies.
Then Vikings once again applied pressure on the remaining Bunnies by running for what would apparently be another fast equalizer, but a failed hand-off ensured, that at least 3 turns would be spent on the scoring drive, making a Bunny stall possible for the remaining time. But then Malice in Wonderbra made a heroic effort to pick up the ball and hurl a long bomb back into Viking territory. This effectively put the game out of reach for the Vikings, and despite a late equalizer they would not make it to the play-offs instead of the Bunnies.
