Match notes
In this topmatch of group C, two very shaky teams had a hard time making anything work, but in the end it turned into a fairly deserved victory for DD when Bram Stoker made a last turn TD to 1-0. Deserved because Dark Minions never had the ball down on DDs half of the pitch.

The weather was fine and resultet in a decent gate of 54000 evenly shared between the teams (28/26).

Before the match the comentators anunced Lex Liche as player of the match, a little premature som may say. (Words like bribery came up, something about Lex Liche felt he did not get the attention he deserved.)

DD kicked-off, but found to their astonishment that only 10 elves where on the pitch. It turned out that Balco Yarri and Cobra SnakeEyes (one of the good guards on the team) had been food poisened. It turned out that they spent the entire match on the doe. Also Bishop did not look to good, but he did not give in and played all but the last turn.

Seeing this the fans of DD cheared as the ball went over to the elves, bringing good spirite to the team. This turned out to be needed, as both teams had used their team re-rolls by turn 3, but DD had one left from the fans.

Nothing seemed to work for either team, and nothing happened. Even when Zed fouled SoulBlade with four assist he did not even break amour. In the first seven turn the only thing worth mentioning was a KO on Blitzing Krieg and a crowd KO on Zhar the 'Cold' when Bram Stoker pushed him off-pitch.

In the meanwhile, however, DD had concoured the ball, and was forming a cage close to the endzone. In the last turn of first half, the elves formed a line right in front of this cage, and made the first casualty of the game as SoulBlade BH the skeleton Dale. In an effort to prove worthy of the MVP Lex Liche tried to break through this line, in a blitz, but failed to smack the elf in his way, and when he tried to doge on 4, 3 for a TD, 5 and 1 came up ending his effort lying in the end zone. Result: 0-0 in first half.

Only one KO came back, for next half, where also the skeleton stayed in the injured box, but he was replaced by another skeleton, so it was 11 vs 9 as the two unlucky elves where still in the locker room moaning.

Some briliant coaching by Necromancer Kynde and his newly appointed assistant coach Cheops the Great helped DD get off to a good start for second half, as they recived the ball, and emidiately KOed Duncan Ironspike. The new mummy Rastafa Elf Basher had really listened to his personal coach Cheops the Great, and he used this in turn 4 to make his first elf kill as a mummy, when Cool 'Hand' Luke had to bite the dust. Luckily for him the apotech went straight to him an gave him som heart massage, so he stayed on the pitch.

It seemed like DD was sure to make a TD, as Lex Liche again was holding the ball, going for that TD that could explain his untimely MVP. But suddenly Blade finally woke up. Earlier in the match, he seemed more like he had greased shoes rather than AG 5, as he already had failed one dodge and two leap on ones (and re-rolls dissapeared from the minions as tears from the sun in this match.) But in this turn 5 he made a crucial move, that could have turned the match. A dodge, and a leap, a one dice block and Lex Liche was down and KOed loosing the ball. But then Blade's luck was used and he was tripped as he tried to dodge away, going down for the fourth time on a one!

Bram Stoker picked the ball up and two turns later he could safely walk the ball into the endzone for that winning TD without making any dice rolls, as the minions finished their effort with a one dice skull!

Although all their KOs came in for the last turn, Bishop did not see any reason for him not running for the locker room, and there where no way to make a tie.

The fans went wild when DD beat the favourite, and for the first time in 3 matches their number increased. Some of the fans probably came from dissapointed Minions fans.

It was clear that the MVP should have been given to Bram Stoker, but in an effort to correct thier errors, the commentators gave the MVP to a skeleton for no obvious reason, and then to Cobra SnakeEyes for sitting out the match on the toilet?

Minions only got 20 kgps winnings (1) leaving them 10 k short of a witch, wheras DD obtained 60 kgsp, leaving them 10 k short of a ghoul.

This comleted a very fumbled match, in which only Argos learned anything new, namely to be a very dirty player:P
