Match notes
Gameday and the anticipation ran high in both teams but dissappointment quickly settled in as only a mere 34,000 people had come to watch this game. I guess there propably weren't many fans supporting the two teams in the area, although a few more supported the Zhatan's Disciples than Chaos49, which would prove decisive later in the game.

The many injuries among the two teams, primarily in the ranks of Chaos49, was a matter of great debate before the game but all players were deemed ready for the match.
One surprise though was that Harkan Drakos showed of some new skills and was instantly rewarded by Spike! Magazine with a MVP, earning him the Mighty Blow skill.

The whistle sounded the kickoff and the Chaos49 responded by catching the Zhatan's Disciples flatfooted and blitzed with their players. This could have been devastating but the skavens propably got overexcited as their star Tommy ran head first into one of the Chaos Dwarf Blockers knocking himself out. Knowing full well that the game had begun the Zhatan's Disciples began their usual grinding and steady movement down fields. Although no casualties were inflicted on either side it was a sure TD when Lithgor made it the final yards midthrough the first half.
The Chaos49 received the ball and although Zhatan's Disciples had made some last minute changes it didn't stop the ever fast running Gutter Runner Pitt in scoring the fastest TD ever against the Zhatan's Disciples. The Skavens also succeded in injuring Grongni to such an extent that even the Apothecary couldn't do anything but relieve some pain.
As the Zhatan's Disciples received the ball in the fifth turn of the first half the few Chaos Dwarves supporters kicked in by grabbing the referee and long hauled him unto the stands where his life shortly after ended very painfully. It was obvios to the fans that the Skavens had made an deal with him seeing how they blatantly defied the rules. The replacement had naturally a healthy respect for the fans temper, giving the team(id) the edge they needed.
Seeing that the replacement referee were looking the other way opened up possobilities for Malik, who could now use his fouling skills to their fullest.
Chaos49 succeeded in injuring yet another Chaos Dwarf thus forcing him to miss the next game as well, but they Pitt The Chaos Dwarves seized their opportunity by securing the ball knocking out several Skavens and killing Tommy by having Malik foul him. The entire stadium held their breath as the medic attempted to rouse Tommy to life, but he failed and the Zhatan's Disciples could claim the bounty of 20,000 gp.
In the 8th turn Lithgor scored his second TD of the match, and as most of the Chaos49 was out in the KO box they had no chance of scoring before next half.

The second half went by very quickly as there were a shortages of Skaven players. The most exciting was that Volthas managed to avenge his fallen brothers by taking out Stalin, who had injured his two fellow Chaos Dwarf Blockers. All in all the Chaos49 failed time and time again in their ball handling and since the teamidzha) were securely ahead since Lithgor had scored his third TD mid through the half. Therfore they didn't have any rush, although Lithgor managed to score his fourth TD of the day late in the second half.

All in all a deadon win by the Zhatan's Disciples who at the moment are striding towards the playoffs faster than their legs can move them.
The Chaos49 are now trailing behind and will have to win some points soon or be out of the playoffs.
