Match notes
A great match for DD, but although it was their biggest win so far, it was not secured until the mid of second half. A very exciting and eventfull game. Here comes a long report:

The fine and hot weather brought out a large number (31 vs 34 thousand) og fans from each team, to see this even match (Only 6 TR points difference DDs way).

For once DD recived the first kick-off (only second time so far, and the other time it resulted in a blitz). Not this time, where the fans cheered an extra re-roll for DD, so both teams had 4 in first half.

It turned out to be a very bad decission for the Rams coach to put the minotauer on LoS, as two mummies gatherd around him, and this resulted in Malekith Wintermaul lost the Rams their first turn, when he took Rastafa Elf Basher with him down. Nothing happened, but it open a great hole in the defence, and dirty player Argos who was so suprised when the ball hit him after kick-off that he actually cought it, was placed in a cage. When the heat came on, he lost his nerves, and gave the ball up to Bram Stoker who in turn 3 ran the first TD home. (His second, and now the only other player than Rigor Mortis to have multiple TDs on DD).

Argos must have been a little dissapointed he did not have the nerves to keep the ball, so he fouled Brulefur Battlechaser BH after the kick-off using his dirty play. For this he was, however, thrown out, together with his arguing coach, Necromancer Kynde. Luckily Kynde can handle his team from anywhere within the stadium, and there is even a better view from the stands. But no more arguing this match. (Argos had, however, already done his duty, and will talk for long time in the bar tonight, about the time he held the ball in a BB match, while pouring Akse beer down on the floor through his rib cage.)

In the next drive Rastafa Elf Basher began using his piling-on skill, but with no other result than 2 stunned rams. A foul on him had no effect either way. Nevertheless after the minotauer had taken his anger out on Dale, a suicidal skeleton, knocking him out, very nice play from the Rams secured them their first TD by Marbas Foulshine already in turn 6.

The weather had suddenly turned hot during this drive, and no fewer than 3 rams colapsed in the swealtering heat. This heat had, however, no effect on the dead!

The Ram fans did not like that the game continued right away and invaded the pitch, but only the PO mummy Rastafa Elf Basher was KOed. This still left some good chances for a TD to DD in the last two turns, especially when 1st TD scorer Bram Stoker continued his good form by giving a gouged eye to Beldor Ironghost, so he won't be playing next week. It was, however, no easy move, but a couple of one dice blocks, and a go for it and a hand off to Eata Corpus finally gave him his first TD in 7 games. And DD was 2-1 at half time. In the last turn Rigor Mortis colapsed, but if it was the heat, or the fact, that two players had now made TD, without him doing so, is unknown.

Before next kick-off the PO mummy awoke from his KO and the weather also changed back to a more temperate and better suited weather for BB. It was still 11 vs 11 on the pitch, but that soon changed.

But before that it already looked alot like a tieing TD was comming the Rams way, when wanted player Armonas Gracefist was standing within reach of the end zone with two guarding players, and only a mummy and a whight could reach them, and only if they made several dice rolls.

But things took a sharp turn there in DDs turn 2. Ramses the 5th killed Geleb Bloodhammer who after a failed try by the apotech, was emidiatly raised by Necromancer Kynde from the stands, as a zombie.
(It is here worth noting that this was player 11 who killed player 11. In the first half, the killed player had been KOed by the same mummy, who obviously did no like him. But in that KO turn player 8 SI player 8, so their seemed to be some number connection here.)
This was the beginning of a briliant move by DD, who first moved three players into close contact with the minotauer, blocking a single assist away.

Then the other mummy Rastafa Elf Basher blitzed a guarding player stunned (without using his PO) to stand next to the ball carrier, and with a dodge and some go for it, also a wight made it into his TZ, before another doging wight finally fell on a go for it. But that did not mean anything, as the minotauer made one push back before begin knocked over due to his lack of blocking skill (for the second time this game! This time on two one dice blocks).

And here the number thing continues as player 12 Rastafa Elf Basher re-rolls his block to KO Ram 12 Beldor Ironghost with the ball. First when he stopped piling on did he get a KO!

Tha ball was recovered by DD, but a long pass was fumbled, and it was by no means over. Luckily for DD an attempt to pass the ball by the Rams also failed (sweaty hands from when the weather was so hot earlier?). When seing the ball lying there free on the ground, Rigor Mortis hurled him self at it to get that for him all imporatnt TD, to stay on top of the top scoring list. He litteraly hurled him self on to it, when he failed his last go for it, and the ball scatterd out of the cage formed around it, but still into 4 DD TZ and there was no attept to recover the ball from here by the now only 7 Rams. (KOs and the BH Maffer Crimsonspike caused by rookie wight Tri Octavius in his only second apperance, had reduced the rams to this, against 10 DD players).

Next turn another KO made left as few as 6 rams on the pitch, as Rigor Mortis got up again, and claimed the ball so he could finally make a sure TD in turn 7. After a few futile attemtps to do anything in the teams last turn, this gave the final score of 3-1 to DD. But the last TD secured Rigor Mortis a continued no. 1 spot on the top scorer list.

Zed the zombie was elected MVP for DD, and this must have been for his consistency with the team. Never has he missed an enitre game since they began this season.
More doubtlfull was the election of minotauer Malekith Wintermaul as MVP for the Rams, but it will surely help him learn some better blocking skills some day? Since this lack more or less lost the game for the rams, it was really strange that he was elected... Did someone mention bribery?

80 kgps for DD vs 60 for the rams, and both teams went down in FF. Obviously why the rams went down, but for DD with 3 TD, 4 cas, a kill and free Akse beer, what more does the fans want? Maybe they where, as Rastafa Elf Basher himself, very dissapointed that he did not get any real use of his new piling-on abilities. Not a kill, not even a cas, only one KO, and that was without using PO.

Zed learned block, Bram Stoker learned to tackle from his casualty. And finally the newest player, and only the third on DD, to make a TD, Eata Corpus, improived his agility, reaching elf like stats.

All in all a very good match for DD, but also two new skills for the Rams, and money enough to replace the dead, has not made it a terrible match for The Tainted Rams either. This is not so bad when going up agianst the top team from group C.
