Match notes
Great match for Zhatan's Diciples as Deadly Doom again was slaughtered by a Chaos Dwarf team in a rehap of Deadly Doom - Hashhutz Nutz (season XI, round 3).

As in that match DD had 5 players out by turn 4, and saw the dwarfes come ahead 1-0 in their 5th turn. Although this time the mummy regenerated (from a kill!) and the 3 KO came back, thus enabling DD to tie first half. But only to see 3 players out in Diciples first turn of second half in only three blocks (1 KO & 2 BH), and with two turns left Diciples went to 2-1, and bad luck (and a lack of a re-roll?) cost DD the equalizer when the wight fell on the first of two go for it...

DD kicked off and was emideatly suprised by a quick snap from the Diciples, who also got a touch back given to the sole bull Keltharos. Then the team proceded to KO two of the zombies on LoS, getting clean explosions in all 4 blocks...
Next turn the bull found it self standing next to a mummy with block. And the troll was too stupid to make the blitz move required to move the mummy. But a few guards gave the bull a two dice block, which came up on double clean, then through AV, then injury and a kill. Keltharos had just killed DD's up an comming star mummy Ramses the 5th... What a shocker for DDs necromancer!

However, in a flash of pride after his daunty feat, the bull ran down towards the end zone in turn 3 with the ball. It was now easy for the two ghouls to catch him, and with a one dice block Eata Corpus (with block against no block...) got the bull down, stunned, and ran to pick up the ball...

In turn 4, however, the slaughtering continued as ball carying star ghoul Eata Corpus was KOed and Brill was SI (35) by Oglakhan. But the ball was still lying free, and there was a god chance for the other ghoul to get it. But with no more re-rolls (last used this turn 4 already) - the pick-up of course failed. The bull, now unstuned, got up and ran into the endzone, and a hobgoblin picked up the ball, and handed it to the bull for a 1-0 TD by Keltharos.

Now was the moment of thruth for Necromancer Kynde, who closed his eyes and threw a dice, and yes, it was a 6 and Ramses the 5th was still Undead and ready for next drive. Then it meant less that Brill cannot play next match as his regeneration failed. Espeically as the 3 KOed players all came back in. So both team still had one reserve.

Some briliant coaching gave a re-roll back to DD as another touch back was given to Snufitt Wice. In two turns he and Eata Corpus was standing in a half cage close to the end zone. But the bull was blitzed free from a TZ, and ran to them. This was where DD was happy they had a re-roll in reserve, but the two one dice block, only one with block, worked out without, and Snufitt Wice could run a 3 turn tieing TD in to the end zone. This learned the Ghoul the blocking skill.

In second half both teams was still 11 on pitch and the many DD fans now smelled blood and threw a rock that stunned a dwarf on LoS. This confused (delighted?) Necromancer Kynde enough for him to forget his turn marker, and one of his four re-rolls was promptly stolen away. Luckily Eata Corpus managed to pick up the ball anyway on 2+

But then the Diciples began their slaughtering again. In their first turn they got revenge from the rock, by making only 3 block, even forgetting their blitz action! But in these three blocks, the bull KOed wight Bram Stoker, Oglakhan BH Benno Brausekopf II and Harkan Drakos BH Ra the rookie mummy.

In an act of desperation Eata Corpus ran down the pitch for a quick Td and the dwarfes managed to get a two dice block and got him stunned. It was quite a mess of players at this time. Two turns later the hobgoblin with the ball did not go down in a two dice block, eventhough re-rolled. But next turn DD got a second chance and with a one dice block it worked. But then the ball jumped to Zed the zombie who caught it on a 6. He did, however, stand pretty bad, and was eventually knocked down, only for DD to see the bull Keltharos catch the ball on a 6 too, get free in a blitz, and run close to the end zone, using his sure feet in the last sprint...

Only a skelly could reach him, but then Devlin Hellboy decided to go for it to enforce a TD with two turns to go. But he fell on the first go for it (re-roll already spent that turn) and got SI (64) and lost one point of agility. (He was emidiately retired after the game!)

Although the dwarfes had no re-roll and Keltharos had no block skill, he made the two dice block, in the following blitz and scored to 2-1 with two turns left.

This gave some hope for a tie for DD, but the mummy Ra did not regenerate, and the KOed wight also stayed out, so it was only 9 vs 11 on pitch. With one re-roll left it still seemed possible for DD, but this re-roll was used on a bad block. At least the not-killed mummy Ramses the 5th inflicted DDs sole casualty resulting in a BH Maitos. This was just enough for the mummy to become a veteran and he learned to Stand Firm.

The dwarfs managed to KO Snufitt Wice, leaving only Lex Liche in scoring range but with only two TZ on him, the mummy could block one away, and a blitz cleared the road. Then something quite unexpected occurred as DD’s star ghoul Eata Corpus made the first completion ever for DD when he succeded the quick pass to Lex Liche who actually caught it. Now all Lex Liche had to do was go for it twice, but first time a 1 came up and the re-roll lost to the IP was really missed.

That concluded the match and Keltharos could be celebrated by his Chaos Dwarfs as the true match winner with two TD a KOed wight, and much more important - He killed a mummy!

The winnings was 20 k vs 40 k (for DD) and the few Chaos Dwarf fans, could only increase after such a performance in front of 30.000 disapointed DD fans. And of course DD then lost those fans.

All in all the game was the Diciples due to their high casualty/KO count of 5-1 in both categories. Not much failed for them, but at least DD was lucky with the regenerate skill, and got two new skills so it was not so bad as last time. This time they even managed to score againsat a Chaos Dwarf team. And although the two dice luck was on the Diciples side (including AV/injury rolls), then the one dice luck was on DDs side, getting the ball twice with one dice block, and scoring also with two one dice blocks in that turn.

Diciples now looks like the favourite for winning group C with 3 new skills: Break tackle for the bull, Multiple block for the troll and Malik became a dirty player!
