Match notes
In a quite uneventfull match, Deadly Doom got the better ot the Dark elves from Death Extravagante and hence overtook third place from them (and hence DD got revenge from last seasons quaterfinal). After a first half completely dominated by Extravagante, in which very bad coaching from Necraomncer Kynde resulted in a BH stand firm mummy Ramses the 5th, DD had to fight back from one behind. And so they did, as they more or less cleared the pitch from Darkies before tieing the match in the last turn of regular time. In overtime DD had the upper hand and got it to 2-1 in their own reciving, before DD’s fans went beserk and held up the game for two turns in Extravagantes reciving. Although they fought well to tie the match, a perfect shadowing by Lex Liche resulted in the fall of Candela Bloodmoon when she then had to make yet another dodge, and that concluded the match in favour of the Undeads.

For the second match running the fine weather and DD’s fans broke the season gate record as no less than 70.000 DD fans showed up along side “only” 60.000 from Extravagante.

DD freeboted a zombie to take Geleb Reanimated place and all Extravagantes 5 niggling players made the match. However, Extravagantes coach Astartes had a problem as his two Witch Elves had a fight over who was most deadly, beatifull and sexy, and neither would take the field along side the other.

So it was 13 DD vs 11 and a witch on the side line for Extravagante.

Astartes had been bragging about how he was going to play dirty and the ref was so alert due to this that Extravagante did not even dare trying a foul the entire match. (Maybe this had also something to do with the rumoured bribery of the ref, something with allowing DD to put a 12th player on pitch… )

DD kicked to Extravagante in the first drive, using a perfect defence. But DD soon found they were outsmarted by the quick elves, who caged the ball close to DD’s end zone, and tried to stall. Two KOs could have forced Extravagante to score quickly, (especially as “on pitch” witch elf Candela Bloodmoon was fouled KO by Argos), but then a terrible move by Necromancer Kynde, allowed Extravagante to push both stand firm mummy Ramses the 5th of pitch using Eata Corpus to make a subsequent push, and then continuing by also pushing the star Ghoul out. The mummy was BH and failed to regenerate, the Ghoul was only stunned.

Then with 9 players left on each team, it was easy for Extravagante to wait with the TD for last turn, and then Yaviere Elfbane scored for 0-1.

The fans was cheering loudly for DD, as they set up to give Eata Corpus a one turn chance. But first the remaining mummy Ra took down weak amoured Narmacil the poisener, and BH him. Two subsequent pushes was not enough for Eata Corpus and to get the last the freeboted zombie had to dodge into a TZ and he was BH when he fell.

Luckily the zombie regenerated, and maybe someone in the crowd noted that all 12 of DD’s available players were on pitch to recive the kick-off for second half. But the ref certainly didn’t maybe due to the continouesly cheering of DD’s fans.

Extravagante, was however, down to 9, as neither one of the two KOed players awoke. This then gave witch elf Roxanna Redvenom a chance to take the field.

So 12 DD players vs 9 Extravagante, and when Lex Liche BH Youran Wraithblade the first turn and Shovah Hellfire failed his leap and got BH the second, it was 12 vs 7. The rest of the half it was play ground for DD, and a KO was followed up by a KILL by Bram Stoker on Roxanna Redvenom. The apotech stepped up and saved the witch, only to see Conan KO her in a foul. Although the ref removed the skeleton from the pitch, DD still had 11 players and now it was only against 5 elfs. It was hence routine for The Green Ghost to run the ball in for a tieing TD in the last turn.

So the match went into overtime with 10 DD players vs 8. It was, hence pretty easy for DD to get the ball down Extravagantes pitch. Extravagante did, however, get one chance to hit one dice on the ball carying Eata Corpus, but then re-rolled a skull to a skull, and hence Eata Corpus scored for 2-1.

DD’s fans went wild and the riot took half of the four turns Extravagante had to tie the game. But Extravagante still had a really good chance, as they before last turn had the ball in a cage down within scoring reach, and they had several players that could score.

DD managed to get a TZ on the ball carier and also covered the end zone and witch Candela Bloodmoon. Without re-rolls things looked a little dangerous for Extravagante, but in the end the ball carrier was free, and a succeful blitz could save the day for Extravagante. So St 4 witch Candela Bloodmoon dodges away from tackle wight Lex Liche, but she makes the 2+ dodge, however, for the first time this match Lex Liche managed a shadow move, and she suddenly had to make yet another dodge, now on 3+, and a 2 came up, and thus ended the hopes for Astartes.

DD hence took home third place with a 2-1 win and the fans went wild and some elf fans even went over to DD.

With the high gate DD won their biggest pay check yet, with 100 k, on top of the 45 k they win for taking thrid place, after winning 9 matches (9 of 11 tiomes 5 k) this season. Extravagante only won 40 k.

So after a well fought match, the third place price, swapped sides, and now both teams have tried to get the better of each other in a play-off!
