Match notes
Finally last seasons 2nd and 3rd placed teams turned together, and finally Deadly Doom (DD) got the better of a Chaos Dwarf team as they took home a safe victory over Dominions of Chaos (DC).

In DD’s two previous encounters with Chaos Dwars they had been severely beaten (mainly in casualties) but this time DD got the upper hand on the casualty score.

Only 15 DC vs 57 DD fans showed up in the fine BB weather. And all these spectators inspired Mr BigHat (hcp MVP), but alas he learned nothing new yet, but at least all the dwarfs niggling players turned up. So it was 12 DC vs 13 from DD.

DD recived and eventhough DC had the briliant coaching, it only took DD 3 turns to get far enough down the pitch, so that Eata Corpus could score for 0-1 in turn 4, after Ra cleared the way by BHing Gingu "The Sly".

Although a blitz by DD only pushed the dwarf line one step back, it resulted in a long fight around the center of DD’s pitch, which left the ball carying bull Mary "Cow" Grudgebearer somewhat from the EZ with a turn to go. He was not much helped by the fact that Gamji Grimbreath tried to take on Ramses the 5th all alone and was BH in the process.
And in turn 8 the still slimm chance for DC to tie the match, disapeared as there were no longer even the briliant coaching left to help against a double skull, and DD were ahead 0-1 after first half.

For second half DD were 11 vs 8 on pitch, and this triggerd some hazardous play from DC’s star Dingu who took the chance and tried to pass to bull Mary "Cow" Grudgebearer, (who should have used 5+ to catch!) But he never got a chance as Lex Liche made the first interception for DD ever.

Two turns later he hands it off to Eata Corpus who runs the ball out of reach, and scores for 0-2 in turn 4. And after this did Bram Stoker regenerate from the BH he obtained on a missed go for it.

In the second try DC’s game plan worked and Dingu only took two turns to pass to Kringu "The Cunning" who then reduced to 1-2, and gave DC 2 turns to tie the game.

But although they did get a player down field, they never really had the chance at getting at the ball, as Eata Corpus ran it into a half cage within scoring reach. However, before this Mary "Cow" Grudgebearer BH the rookie ghoul Devlin Hellgal and prevented her from getting a scoring chance.

In DD’s final turn killer mummy Ramses the 5th had a chance at getting at a somewhat careless Dingu forgetting his 20 k bounty on the head? And hence Ramses the 5th kills him for the money. But somehow the apotech manages to come in and save him. A terrible moment comes for DC’s coach when in comes Argos who took use of both the gotten ref, and DD’s briliant coaching RR (to make a failed go for it), to put in the boot, but nothing but a stunned Hobgoblin comes of it. However, without the coaching Eata Corpus falls over the EZ line on his second go for it and DD “only” wins 2-1.

Once again the FF of both DD and their defeated opponents increases, making DD still the most popular team in the season with FF 15. And all the spectators gives 70 vs 60 k in treasury.

Only Eata Corpus who was failing to get a hatrick learned a new skill: Leap, as he became and OLD Star player, now with a niggling injury. But he is now with the same stats as a wardancer!
