Match notes
Two old enemies met again. It was 2-1 for the Disciples but their team had been through a rougher time than DD since their last meeting, and when Thrud decided to play for the winning team in 2nd half the match was almost decided, and DD’s own star Count Luthor scored for 1-0 in the final turn of the match taking the score to 2-2, but it was the most important game the two teams had played.

Even with Thrud and all injured players ready Disciples only had 13 players ready, and as DD had hired the Vampire Count Luthor, and got both their injured players into the match they had 15.

The match began well for Disciples who received and began KOing one zombie and then Malik smashed the collar bone on another zombie Thorbjørn. Failing his regeneration roll the zombie now faces an assisting coach carrier on DD. But it was in a foul, and the ref would have none of it and expelled both the dirty player and his arguing coach.

This ended the turn with only two TZ on the ball lying close to the LoS, and a blitz later Count Luthor ran to pick it up and went for it to get back in safety. The ball was in DD’s hands. But an amazing play by Bull Khakhistos saw the vamp knocked down in a one dice clean on the RR. The ball scattered to Morkan Lokas who caught it.

DD got pretty pissed and S. Finxter killed Grongni but the apo saved him from becoming a zombie. Then the vampire got up to blitz the ball carrying dwarf who could not get away from him after the catch, but what happened??? Double double skull and the vampire were down again.

This time Morkan Lokas ran out of reach, but the defence weakened considerably when Wroar decided to get up and blitz Ra, but he forgot that he had no speed to help him but the mummy, and with only one dice a skull send him directly to the injury box BH!

However, when Ra then tried to blitz his way to Morkan Lokas, he needed to RR a double skull (3 of those in a row from DD) and did still not manage to reach the ball carrier. The next block DD threw was one dice and it became the 7th skull in 9 dices.

The sturdy dwarf now ran down pitch with the ball, only partly guarded by Thrud. But once again Ra failed to blitz his way through (double both down), and then another one dice block resulted in a skull RR into skull. 9 skulls and a double both down in 13 dices. The last two dices arrows!

Now it seemed that the dwarf would run out of reach, but he did not dare to push it, and suddenly the way was open for Count Luthor and he single-handedly took down Morkan Lokas. Though only to see Lilach pick it up and dodge away.

With all the skulls DD’s players were strained, and no RRs were left, but still Count Luthor managed to get out through a TZ to blitz the Hobbie Lilach into the KO box, and the ball went into the crowd. They in turn tossed it halfway toward the LoS. But none of DD’s players cold get at it.

It the end the half ended 0-0 as Khakhistos made an inaccurate pass to Morkan Lokas.

Thrud then decided to change sides and play for DD. This was quite lucky for DD as their 3 KOed players failed to wake up. And this included Sinistra Dextre and S. Finxter.

But now DD could field St 6, 6, 5 and 5 all with block, two even with blodge and two with stand firm… The dwarfs only had two St 4 players left as only one bull were left on the team after last match, and the Minotaur were BH.

After a bad kick gave Count Luthor a touch back, it was a peace of cake for DD to move their cage down field. When Xorn in his second try managed to foul Grongni BH (without getting send off) DD were 2 players ahead, and never looked back. Toward the end Lilach managed to BH Erik who failed to regenerate, but before the last turn Count Luthor was standing with the ball well covered next to the EZ and could stroll in for the 1-0 win.

Thrud of course remained with the team for the last turn, to be amongst the winners :D
Anyway he still received the MVP of the Disciples whereas the zombie Thorbjørn got the MVP for taking the only permanent injury of the match!

The teams only earned 30 vs. 20 k, the fans stayed with their teams and no new skills were obtained.

DD got fairly unharmed to the semi final, but their catastrophic earnings over the last many matches now has left them unable to afford the vampire Count Luthor in the semi-final, so they will have to settle for a freebooted ghoul/Wight to help them to the final this year.
