Match notes
This somewhat booring match ended as expected with a safe 2-1 win for Deadly Doom, and only one elf on the pitch when the last TD was scored. But more suprisingly only one elf King Thinghol II was more than BH og KOed, much to the pleasure of the Lords.

The weather was fine and this together with the free Akse beer brought 30.000 DD fans to the stadium. The untimely death of top scorer Saeros the mistrel after the disaster match Die Haubtabteilung - Sindarin Lords (season XI, round 5) did sadly only bring 7.000 of the remaining Lord fans, and left the gate way below the magic 41k.

Die Haubtabteilung was propably just as sad of this kill between elves, and must have told a tale or two about their meeting with DD resulting in 3 kills! At least Mablung the hunter had decided to bring his stilettoes for this match, to try an even the odds out a bit. (Razor Sharp fangs +2 to injury).

DD roled a 5 but the Lords took 6 and was lucky enough to begin with the ball while they still had 10 on the pitch. This was, however, much to the dislike of the many DD fans, who promptly decided to go for the ref while the first kick-off was still in the air. This is the third time DDs fans has exacted vengance on the ref against elf teams :P

Dirty player Argos was already showing his teeth (as he always does) but before DD new of it, both a wight and a mummy was lying on the ground at the hands of Mablung the hunter, and in turn 2 Daeros the Dancer made a dodge and 2 go for it after catching a completion from Beleg Cathalion to make the first TD of the match to 0-1. Luckilly for DD the armour of the knocked over players was not broken!

In DDs turn 2 they now recieved a bad kick from the Lords, and proceded to knock over the entire front row without breaking armour once eventhough both mummies where involved. Argos did not take a likening of this, and used the blind eye of the ref, to foul King Thinghol II resultig in a fractured arm. But after next match he will be fully recovered.

Rigor Mortis picked up the ball and ran to safety. This was, however, not the case for Eata Corpus who tried in vain to stop the blitz of Mablung the hunter and this time the armour broke resulting in a BH ghoul due to the stilleto. This was the only time Mablung the hunter broke armour this match, much to the rejoycing of the DD coach, Necromancer Kynde.

From then the match was pretty borring, as a very safe cage was formed from the rest of the DD team around Rigor Mortis. Except for Argos who was stupid enough to suddenly stand alone around some nasty elves, who did not like his skills for fouling. So he was quickly send off pitch into the KO box after only inflictiing one stun result after the first casualty.

Then in DDs turn 7, they realize that if they make the TD now, Mablung the hunter won't get that last turn chance to knock over Rigor Mortis and the Lords would not stand much of a chance to score with their last turn. There are however a line of elfs in front of the cage, so Ramses the 5th blitzes Elmo of Doriath with two dices and up comes a push back and a both down. In order to make a sure TD, this guy nedded to be pushed back and knoked over, else at least one dodge would be needed. This was not to DDs likening. Anyway, Ramses the 5th uses his block skill and throws down the elf. Then for the first time this half a mummy breaks armour, suddenly hope springs back into the missing hearts of the DD players, and yes, a 9 comes up, and with mighty blow it is a cas, and Elmo of Doriath is BH. Hence his square is empty, and encouraged by the first real cas for the team Rigor Mortis sprints to the end zone without making any dice rolls to tie the score after first half 1-1.

However, there is one turn left for each, and the KOed dirty player wakes up, and Argos uses his skill in the final turn of the half, to KO the slow Celeborn of Lorien after he was knocked over by a mummy. And he did not wake up already in time for second half.

This meant that only 7 elfs would be ready to kick-off to the 11 players from DD who cought them of guard with a quick snap and a first turn KO. Rigor Mortis picked up the ball again, but the defence was left a bit open, and a line of elfs, including Mablung the hunter was suddenly between him and the safety of the mummies company. After a failed blitz, Rigor Mortis took one of the only chances of the match, making a dodge, without needing his dodge skill though, and ran for the safety of the cage.

And then the match finally was decided, when Mablung the hunter made a failed block (puh back), and hence ended in the TZ of Bram Stoker. This was emidiatly punished, when he finally achived what Lex Liche with his great abillity to tackle had failed in at least 10 dice rolls. Bram Stoker knocked Mablung the hunter over for the first time in the match and he was emidiatly KOed. This settled the match, and two further KOs reduced the Lords to 3 players before turn 8. But no casualty was made much to the anoynment of Necromancer Kynde.

Then in the last turn, Rigor Mortis is ready to make the winning TD, but this is lame, thinks Kynde, and decides, that his top killer Rastafa Elf Basher should take a 3 dice block (as there is still a re-roll left). Dior, Thingol's heir goes down, and armour breaks, and then again a 9 pops up and BH the poor elf. The error from Rastafa Elf Basher of not killing every time he makes a cas, proptly learns him a new tactic, which he decides to call piling-on:P
Also Bram Stoker takes a blitz to try to learn some new stuff, but it only results in a KO. This leaves the lone TD scoring elf no. 11 Daeros the Dancer on the pitch against 11 undead players.

He is, however, allowed to lie in the shadow of a zombie, as Rigor Mortis, for the second time encouraged by a cas from his mummy freinds, goes on to score the winning TD for the 2-1 victory, and learns him self how to side step in his victory dance.

3 of 6 KOed players returned for the last turn, but not Mablung the hunter with his stiletto, and then it could just have gone bad for the Lords with a finaly blitz from DD, but nothing happened and the game ended there.

Eata Corpus was voted MVP due to his heroic although pathetic attempt to stop Mablung the hunter whereas Eol probably only recived it because he had made it into second half only to be KOed in the first turn at LoS.

DD earned 70 k (6) vs 40 to the Lords. At least the Lords did not loose any fans, wheras the free beer (not the game) most have been the reason that DD returned to their original fan factor level of nine.

It should be noted that although The Lords dodged away on every chance they had, they never used their single re-roll in either half. Only twice did they decide, not to use it and fall, and that was a dodge in TZ and a block without block skill. So in some respect it was lucky for DD to actually get them of the pitch so well as they almost always only had one blitz per turn. Also DD took the only two double skulls of the match, but hey they probably did most of the blocking anyway :D

Also two elfs learned new skills today, Eol learned to kick da ball from his MVP and Oropher of Grennwood now runs as fast as Mablung the hunter. This is now for sure the fastest wood elf team around.
