Match notes
In the seasons first game to finish, Deadly Doom again beat The Sindarian Lords 2-1 in a rehap of last seasons match: Deadly Doom - Sindarin Lords (season XI, round 6). Again the Lords only had a few players when the second TD was scored in last turn (4 this time) but again there came no worse injuries than a MNG, although the cas count was 3 higher, and as expected the Lords made their TD in two turns...

It was the top match of lower brachets group C, and both team began with the same TR of 135, the highest in the group, that only sports one other team from last season, the other 5 are rookie teams.

The Lords tree showed up for the first half, as they recived the ball. It looked like the sure two turn TD, but thrower Beleg Cathalion was in reach and was knocked over, but a failed go for it only left one DD TZ on the ball. And then it was no problem for a Wardancer to blitz the sinlge TZ on the ball away, and Beleg Cathalion got up dodged, graped the ball went for it, and made the pass to catcher Daeros the Dancer who scored in turn 2 for 1-0. Just by the Welf book.

Then for the next 5 turns DD moved the ball down pitch a few step at a time. In this progress wight Lex Liche KOed the side step wardancer Legolas Greenleaf and Elmo of Doriath failed a block on Bram Stoker and got BH. Another KO was evened by Treeman Quickbeam who BH Brill (who failed to regenerate), but then the other wardancer Haldir was down and he got BH in a foul by dirty player Argos.

In turn 7 Eol then took the chance and dodged into the cage in 3 TZ on a 5+ and stunned the ball carrier Eata Corpus on a both down. But new Ghoul Snufitt Wice stepped up and got the ball safe into a new cage, and when Oropher of Grennwood tried to repeat the feat he fell instead and got SI bad enough to miss next game. That cleared the road for a last turn tieing TD.

The Lords had to kick it to DD for second half with only 9 vs 11 on pitch, and no Wardancers. The kick off resulted in a thouch back given directly to AG4 ghoul Eata Corpus. In the first turn Lex Liche took a chance and made a one dice blitz on Dior, Thingol's heir without a re-roll, but it worked perfectly and resulted in a SI (56) which would have given a niggling had the apotech not stepped up and healed him!

In the second turn DDs mummy Ramses the 5th used his blocking skills to get the treeman down. And he stayed down for the Lords next four turns, while the action slowly passed by him... Basically he was out of the match for that half... (instead of in the first).

The DD train moved safely down the left side of the pitch, removing elfs from the pitch one by one. But then halfway through the half there came a hole in the defence, as thrower Beleg Cathalion was inside the cage, and could doge on 3+ twice to get a one dice block on Eata Corpus, but it was only a push back this time... And then Beleg Cathalion was fixed between a rock and a crowded place, and two pushes later he was KOed by the crowd.

At turn 7 only 5 elf players was on the pitch and DDs cage was within 6 squares from the end zone. Two elfes reached the cage, and a third tried agian to dodge in but on 6+ without re-roll it failed with a 1!
This was only the second 1 rolled by the elfs on dodges all match. And there had been a few. But they were not that lucky with the block dice, which was more the case for DD who on the other hand rolled plenty of 1s on go for it...

But in the end there was now only two elves to be moved away from the cage and one of them Celeborn of Lorien was BH by mummy Ramses the 5th. Hence in the last turn DD won the match 2-1 by a TD from Eata Corpus, who are now expecting to learn the block skill.

DD earned 50 k and SL 30 k, and the fans of DD loved the game as they always do when playing against Welfs, whereas the SL fans was satisfied that none got any permanent damage and they stuck with the team.

This concluded a match where 10 elfs left the pitch during the game (and an 11th needed the assist of the apotech to stay in) vs. only 1 BH skeleton who did not regenerate. 5-1 in cas 6-0 in KO. But no permanent damage was done during the game, and everyone could leave the game in good spirit. :D
